Professor Dom Spracklen gave a presentation on ‘Evaluating natural aerosol – climate interactions using long-term observations and an aerosol model

(Co-Authors: Catherine Scott, University of Leeds; Stephen Arnold, University of Leeds; Sarah Monks, University of Colorado and NOAA; Pauli Paasonen, University of Helsinki; Ari Asmi, University of Helsinki)

JamieAnd PhD student Jamie Wilson presented his poster: ‘The impacts of land-use change on air quality and climate

Dr Cat Scott’s presentation was on ‘Including the biogeochemical impacts of deforestation increases projected warming of climate

(Co-Authors: Sarah Monks, Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences, University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado, USA. & Chemical Sciences Division, NOAA Earth System Research Laboratory, Boulder, Colorado, USA, and from the Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science, School of Earth and Environment, University of Leeds, Leeds, UK; Dominick Spracklen, Stephen Arnold, Piers Forster, Alexandru Rap, Ken Carslaw, Martyn Chipperfield, Carly Reddington and  Chris Wilson).

CatFor this, Cat was rewarded with the Early Career Oral Presentation Award, which was formally presented to her back in Leeds by Dom, on behalf of IGAC2016, during the October UBoC Steering Group meeting. Said Cat; “It was a great opportunity to present my research to such a wide range of atmospheric scientists and a real honour to win the Early Career Presentation Award – thanks IGAC!”
